Transferring a Graph or other Image into Google Drive
There are several ways. These instructions describe two of them.
Option #1: If your graph in already in Google Docs/Drive (via
1. Open the document you want to insert the graph/image into
2. Open the document that contains the image or graph you want
3. Click on the graph
4. Right click and copy
5. Go back to the document you want to insert the image into
6. Place your cursor on the spot you want the image to go and click
(Note: For easy readability, you may want to use a center or left alignment the image since you will probably need to enlarge the graph once it is inserted).
7. Click on the 'web clip" option (just look around the icon bar and you will find it)...
(Caution: Sometimes it takes a little bit for the icon too activate so it gives you options)
8. Click on "shape"
9. Click on graph and copy.
10. If you haven't already drawn your Line of Best Fit (LOBF)
11. Go to insert -> drawing -> paste -> allow access
12. Use your cursor to draw the line of best fit on the scatter plot you just pasted into the document.
13. If steps 11 -12 don't work, go back to the Student to Student page and read a more detailed instructions via tpayne.
Option #2: If your graph is on a piece of paper (via
1. Take a picture of the graph or scan it.
2. Save it to your desktop as a jpeg.
3. Open your document in Google Drive
4. Place your cursor on the spot you want the image to go and click

5. Go to Insert -> Upload -> browse to desktop -> double click on the image
6. Enlarge image for readability if needed
7. And there you have it
